Have we got the REAL pedigree of the lambadas fitted to our cars anyone?
Thought as I'd got the engine in bits and all that , then I checked the price!!! Do we get ripped off or WHAT!! I've just trawled ebay and I haven't found one other sensor amongst all the hundereds of cars advertised , that comes within 50 per cent of the extortionate prices charged by our so called friendly TVR specialists. We have managed to get round the stepper motor problem (£25 quid instead of the £75-125 wanted by the above) lets see what we can do about the lambadas ?
Ours are three wire and I didn't find a rv8 one like it so I'm guessing that they are off another vehicle........

Common LR items upto 1995 I believe, they are normally over £100 each I believe. Later Sagem & Bosch ECU'd P38 style engines used different sensors.

http://search.ebay.co.uk/search/search.dll?from=R4...

Pay your money take your choice. I think our sensors are 18mm thread, HOWEVER that is going from memory so check before you buy!!!

From the wiring diagram here http://homepages.nildram.co.uk/~eliotmez/hotwire19... if would appear that there is the one signal wire and the other two wires are for the heaters.

The best price I've seen for the correct OEM sensors is around £65-£70. You can get generic ones for quite a lot less but you will have to find and fit the plug yourself.

Go to Ebay, do worldwide search, look up Oxygen sensors for Land Rover Defender 1993-97

You shoud come across a US company called Global Automation
Sensors at$28.50 each

They are NTK sensors, I ordered 2 & it cost me just over £35 with postage
They fit & work perfectly

Hope this helps....
