This morning I thought I'd take the chimp out for a spin, opened the garage, noticed the door or the car ajar. Went to start it and nothing, not a sausage. Remembering that leaving the door open means the interior light stay on that this is enough to ruin the battery I pulled the car out of the garage and found some jump leads.

I called my little seat into action and jumped the TVR, two minutes later and everything is packed away. I thought I'd go for a long drive to build up the battery but.... I couldn't select ANY gears. No realy feeling from the clutch pedal. Hopefully this is just a cable and nothing more serious.

Any thoughts.

Oh and the good bit of the day, watching my beloved Manchester City beat the reds and go top of the league.

The clutch is hydraulic, so no cables. Check the clutch pedal and the floor beneath it for leaking hydraulic fluid and check underneath the car (driver's side of centre, approximately in line with the door hinges).

Check the level of hydraulic fluid in the clutch master cylinder: it's underneath a round bulbous panel screwed and sealed in place under the bonnet adjacent the brake master cylinder (visible on the 'inner wing', driver's side).

I left mine at an airport for three weeks and came back to a soft clutch pedal.
Worked fine after a fill up but I had to have it done again 6 months later.

My hi low Sunday was hearing a Man City fan have clutch problems followed by my beloved ManU coming second to City.

Oh well, good luck with the clutch.

Well today saw the car hoisted on to a low loader and carted off to Nailsea for some attention. The battery isn't keeping charge (new battery) and whilst the hydrolics are full there is no clutch pressure. Hopefully nothing too bad. Going to get the cooling system looked at whilst it is in for repair.

One the upside, whilst on the truck I took the opportunity to look at the chassis and all is well under there.
