Guys,

Any ideas what these are?

I think a) is probably an after market addition but for what I don't know and b) I have not got a clue what it is

b) shows the steering column rake adjuster and delay control for the intermittent wipe. Mine has both... 97 confused

cant help with a) as the extra switch is not present on mine and the mirror control looks different too (wonder if it works, mine doesn't)

Apologies, I wasn't specific - at a) the small arrowed rocker switch and round button I realise are the mirror controls its the large rocker switch below them that has me puzzled and at b) the small round control knob with the white dot indicator is the wiper delay function? as I release the stalk is the steering wheel rake adjustment.

The square one looks like an original fitted mirror selection switch, the other appears to be a non standard replacement for the original mirror position switch. The replacement one? has the function of the selector built into it? Which one works?

The large rocker switch in a) is definitely the standard mirror selector switch.

Oh, and I'd just like to add that you should get rid of those nasty Cavalier indicator stalks as soon as possible. The Leven ones are much more suitable for the car biggrin

I was told it was to adjust the dash lights too!

P.S. Definitely seconded about those stalks - get rid!

The smaller rocker switch with the arrow indicators works the other does ..... nothing.

Thanks for your help and comments gents.

Replacement indicator stalks are on the agenda but more pressing matters take precedent at the moment.

The square one definitely looks after-market. Check that it doesn't do something wierd at night like switch on undercar neons hehe or perhaps it's something useful like door mirror heaters?

As others have said before I'll confirm the rocker switch to be the mirror selector switch for the original mirror controls. It's just like the one in my 95 Griff. Presumably it is now disconnected so does nothing...

The rotary switch changes the speed of the variable intermittent wipers between a long time and an extremely long time. thumbup

Mine has the square switch under the mirror adjuster too.

What the hell does it do?
If there is undercar neons then the car is going wink

Agreed the rotary switch contols the intermittent wiper speed as I tried it this evening. Continents have been known to move quicker than the very slow setting smile

Looking at the pic in the manual the square rocker switch looks as if it is the original mirror selector (although the switch is partially obscured in the pic) and above the switch is a small joystick that positions the mirrors but I have the round button that does this! So could it be that these are the original controls and mine has been replaced with what is shown in my photo's?
