Having dismantled the mounting of my droopie near side door mirror, have found that the "tripod" or "collapsible column" as the Bible calls it, has broken. Checking against the bible and some excellent photos on the club forum, all other parts appear to be present and serviceable. Any one know where I can get just the tripod?
Also, where is it possible to disconnect the whole mirror unit from the wiring loom? Presumably there are some connectors somewhere

i think you will find a couple of mirrors for sale on e-bay at the moment...not sure about price but might work out cheaper and simpler than trying to source just the tripod...cheers

There is also a turret / tripod on fleabay IIRC, under £10 from TVR dealers (if there are any) if you can source one they are not handed.

The wiring connector can be got at thru the speaker hole, stick your hand up and you will feel the connector. You may have to remove the door panel to separate the connector tho (not a one handed job wink ).

Many thanks for the info guys. Checked today with dear old Fernie's - they carry mirror tripods in stock!

Bought a tripod from tvrcarparts.com a while back I think it was about £12 inc shipping or some such. Turned out that the tripod was the only bit of the mirror that didnt need replacing when I dismantled it, ended up with a complete new mirror unit off ebay for about £80
