Second hand drive shaft fitting
Discussion
I have just purchased two low mileage second hand drive shafts complete with CV joints, to install on my 98 Chim. I will be stripping them down and installing new gaiters before fitting. However there is still a lot of old grease in the CV joints. What would you recommend for cleaning the CV joints. Also what grease should I use when re-fitting.

I believe you will need MoS2 (Carlube Molybdenium Grease No.2 ) CV joint grease, you should be able to get this from any motor factors.
I would not remove all the old grease with any cleaning fluids. Just wipe out all you can with a lint free loth or rubber gloves. Then pack with new grease. That should be fine.
