Mine is well and truely knackered and has given me a couple of interesting moments when the bonnet has started to lift when I thought it was shut. The plastic collar that gets clamped into the bonnet catch is braking up, how/where do I get a new one from ?? I've searched through the various TVR spares folk but couldn't find it.

On the striker on the bonnet?

Mine has a bit of rubber pipe on there, works well.

Thanks

Also need one of these, sure we could find a piece of small rubber tubing from somewhere to do the job but one of those things that I just keep forgetting about!

Mine has had it, so it got binned as it was making the process of opening the bonnet a bit fraught as it was a real tug on the cable; I was paranoid it would snap. Anyway, it's been without it for a month or so now and no problems at all.

I queried this with Racing Green recently, who siad it is only there to prevent vibration. It doesn;t have a standard part number, so any appropriately sized tubing will do.

I turned mine round 180 degrees so the chewed up bit was facing upwards away from the latch. Of course then the bonnet didn't close with anything like the ease of before so put it back to where it was, remembering the old addage about if it aint broke.... smile

By the way, if anyone wants a new bit mine looks very much like a bit of the transparent plastic fuel line on a lawnmower from the tank to the carb. Local lawnmower shop should have it!
