Clutch Slave Cylinder....................
Discussion
That Lockheed number above looks like a casting number, rather than a Lockheed part number?
Lockheed used one casting for loads of different applications by machining the casting in different ways, eg different pipe connections, bore diameter etc, obviously the casting number on all of them would have been the same.
I was told the cylinder is from a Defender but cannot confirm it. When I changed my master cylinder I put a new seal in the slave whilst I was at it, it wasn't leaking. The slave cylinder(cast iron) wears a lot less than the ally master cylinder, you can usually get away with a seal kit.
Part numbers:
Lockheed new number LK 10629
Lockheed old number SSB 629
