Surely this is just a myth perpetuated by certain motoring journalists ?!?!
I've never noticed an epoxy smell in my Griff, musty dampness on occasions
but not epoxy... In all honesty if a car reeked of epoxy it'd be so noticeable and I'm sure TVR would've had trouble selling the cars in the first place.
It's not something I've noticed in my car or the two Griffiths I test drove before I bought mine. My car was a year old when I bought it so if there is any truth to the smelly epoxy it might have been from when the cars were new..... like a new car smell that wore off over time...??
