My Chim has a blowing manifold gasket into the head. But was running lumpy before this - hopefully some fettling can still sort this out.

However. Just running the engine standing still the oil pressure is moving from 20 - just over 30 as I rev the engine. Needle moving almost in synch with the rev counter.

Not seen this before...is it bad?

Also backfires on any little press of the gas now. Is that linked to the gasket that has gone???

If it's from idle, mine does it a bit. What oil are you using?

Poping and banging is usual with a blowing manifold gasket. Mine sounded like a artilery barrage when the last one blew.

That is not a nice job manifold gasket. At least its not a expensive job.
