gold tvr 500 in need of paint!
Discussion
hi,
i need to source some paint for my rolls-royce gold chimaera, i need it so fix a scratch on the rear end and for touch up . There is no evidence of the code on record
and i have even taken it to a place in ipswich where they put a device on the paint work that " reads the color " then scans it onto a laptop to provide me with a formular. My local body shop mixed the formular on to a test card today , but sadley still not quite a good enough match.
Im running out of ideas, im going back saturday to try again , he is going to change the mix so its not so brown but im still not sure if it will work.
I doubt there are to many rolls-royce gold chimaera 500 kicking about so if any one knows my car or has worked on it in the past
, please help!. i got it from Altringham.

yes mate
, he is currently mixing me a RM and ICI solvent. He was confident that one or the other would match my car. Then he will send it down to me. fingers crossed! my problem will be solved.
buy the way Clint you should get this months
classic cars mag. There's a MG in it just like yours , the 1968 MGC GTS , very nice, its only worth £200,000
though.
Did you win on the lotto mate and been keeping it a secret?!.

Well that's good news, yours is such a nice colour it'd be awful ending up having a full respray, I hope it's a spot on match. buy the way Clint you should get this months

I've heard about the article, but not seen it as yet. I assume it's registration is either RMO 699F or MBL 546E, as they were the two most famous GTS racers, but will have a look at some point, all aluminium shells, so much much lighter than ours.
Still waiting for a ride in the beast by the way
