Help! I want a TVR Chimaera! or maybe.....
Discussion
Hi! Im new to this site but could do with a bit of help! I just sold my Skyline GTST and want to replace it but can't make up my mind for various reasons what to buy! I've narrowed it down to 3 cars:
Skyline R32 GTR (not standard spec) but unsure as 4wd
TVR Chimaera 4.0 HC
Westfield/Locost R1 engined kit car
I'm struggling to find any info about the performance of the bec compared to other road cars so bit unsure. Any help really appreciated!

You don't say if you are looking for a track biased car?
On the road the Skyline R32 GTR is an awesome car, on the track the Westie will have the edge but its not a practical daily drive. For the TVR choice look at the Chim/Griff 500 and they will both give you buckets full of reward both on and off track.

For something different there is a Ginetta G33 advertised at the moment http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/229732.htm
Sharper handling than a chim and probably less comfortable, also very quick and easy to tune. Good for the track as suspension is fully adjustable, pretty quick and cheapish to insure and maintain (Just renewed my insurance at £190 pa incl breakdown cover and uninsured losses, I have nil no claims)
Not a car for shrinking violets, it gets commented on everywhere.
Oh and i am biased, i have one. Also see www.g33.co.uk

Not going to be using the car on the track. Will be used as a second car but im still concerned about reliability issues/price of engines for chimaeras, and heard about problems with gearboxes on 32 gtrs. Im struggling because they are all awesome cars- its a tough choice to make lol!
