A week as an owner of a chim 430.
Discussion
Actually, not quite a week. I bought my car on sunday. It's now thursday, and I cant wait for 5:30. Not because I finish work - I like my job - but because at 5:30pm, I get to drive home.
I bought a 1994 Chimaera 430 Big Valve.
I had test driven a 400 beforehand, and whilst it sounded louder due to a decat job, the BV comes alive at 3500rpm. It's like someone rams you from behind and shunts you along the road. On the other hand, it's so lazy and smooth that you could be mistaken for thinking that its a slow car whilst driving normally, changing up at 2000rpm.
It has changed the way I drive. Before the TVR I had an S1 Elise - The elise is racey, darty and feels very light. The TVR is big, lazy and feels like a boat. It feels special to be in, with everything covered in leather. Every drive feels like an event. I feel as if I should be suited and booted just to drive it.
The Chimaera is a fantastic car, and I can't believe how good it feels.
Love it!

aw crap
Its made me wish I'd brought the Griff to work (4.3BV) instead of the Mrs Honda S2000
Still, I'm getting brownie points because she's been in Miami for a fortnight so her car needs a run. I'll trade them in for some fun when she gets back
I've had the Griff for 3 years now and I still get that same tingle every time I start it and bring it out of the garage, and by the sound of it I've got at least another 5 years of that and you've got 8 you lucky boy.
Enjoy the run home
