Has anyone fitted one to their Chim?? any good.? or is this a bit "not done".!

If this was to be fitted due to a dissability or age etc then I think that this is a very good idea. There should be nothing stopping anyone experencing 'our' cars. Appart from this, I am yet to be convinced, however I could see the pratical reason behind this (i.e. constant slow driving such as London rush-hour).

seem to remember some bloke wanted to put a diesel engine and auto box in a Chimaera, don't know if he did it or not

Will it fit in the Chim tunnel? I think that's the only factor as you could get an auto wedge.

Yep, the auto Wedge I'm thinking of has a six-speed ZF automatic box and changes gear faster than a human can do it!
