This might seem like a girlie thing to discuss but I have a few things I keep in the boot and was wondering how I could secure them. Something like a net or boot tidy would be ideal (I've removed the spare wheel and replaced it with a couple of cans of tyre weld so am not restricted by that).

I've spotted the following on ebay:

- Boot Tidy (not sure how well this would attach to the fuel tank):

- Boot Storage Net:

Any thoughts? Anyone gone a similar route?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

I have a boot tidy bag in mine, I have made two U shaped brackets which hook over the fuel tank, on the front there is a piece of wood joining the two together, I have then screwed some press studs in to the wood and then press studed the bag to the wood, the bag rest on the floor to take the weight, it can all be removed in seconds, and no holes are drilled in anything, and it's neat.

Also have a boot tidy(Halfords jobby) but not as neatly installed as Kevin63's. Have velcroed it to area just above fuel tank - lots of velcro (there is lots of the stuff in there anyway) smile The boot tidy is just about the same width as the boot and in addition to the copious velcro used it sits (almost the right depth between top of boot area and fuel tank) on top of the tank. Its surprising what I've collected and placed in the boot tidy!

For me its wieght thats the main issue. I have found that using velcro, I can attach everthing I need to the top of the fuel tank, without obstructing the access for the roof. Its also nice to have everthing laid out infront of you when you open the boot. I carry mechanical and an electrical toolbag, first aid kit and an array of bulbs and it all sits there nicely.

I have a stainless boot tidy that sits above fuel tank, two compartments, contains jack and all the bits I like to carry around.

Made by Leven Tecnology, however as far as I am aware they stopped making them some years ago, bought mine second hand from a TVR dealer.

Will look for some pics of it if interested

Dont forget the boot carpet is velcro friendly wink You just end up with loads of one half of the velcro.

I can vouch for these and recommend them.

If however, you're like me and a bit obsessive about carrying around a load of spares that you hope you'll never need (limited however to stuff either I or an AA man can fix at the side of the road) you might find that one is not enough. Two, sitting one on top of the other, fit very nicely velco'd to the petrol tank and mean that you can easily get the roof in and out without having to move anything around.

Two also held all of the spares and bits recomended on these forums that I took to Spain and back recently in the event of the breakdown that never happened.

And no, apart from buying two, I have no connection with the vendor.

More like runs back to carry on sawing roof panels in half (the current Grifter fad).

Are you sure...

Of course you don't need much of a boot if all you need to store is medallion and chest wig...

I put all the bits and pieces (tyre inflator cans, jacket, hat(!), handbook, multitool etc) in an old rucksack so all stays tidy and clean and you have the use of the rucksack if you ever need it.

Any other problems would involve Green flag or whoever.
