Days Like These
Discussion
We all know that any drive in the Chim is an occasion and if like me always charged with anticipation but now and again one of those memorable drives comes along and today was such a drive.
Not a deliberately planned drive, no special or well known driving roads and just on the face of it before setting out, a run of the mill journey I've done many times - in other cars.
Roof down, virtually deserted A back roads with sweeping bends and a few twisties. Not caning it by any means just making safe enjoyable progress.
Driving days don't get much better when feeling so connected with the Chim

Paul, thats exactly how I felt this afternoon. Short trip up to my preferred motor factors (Lloyds in Burnt Oak) to get new front discs 'n pads and two new relays.
I then took the long way home and there is simply nothing better than piloting a fantastic, planted, British sports car with the roof stacked in the boot and progressing very quickly when appropriate.
Here's to more warm dry autumn days..

Amen, brother.
Well .... I am northern
My TVR is my only vehicle so, going into winter, I tend to focus more on the condition of the tyres and their ability to keep the car where I want it to be.
Incidently , I was born in Elgin, in the highlands so I therefore claim to be more northern than you.
When I go on holiday, to a hot country, it takes me a week to turn from pale blue to white!

I moved south many years ago so have become a little "southernised" and more tolerant of the warmer climates
I still prefer winter though
Its better to wrap up warm than cooling down when hot!Gassing Station | Chimaera | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
