Hi All
If I was to upgrade the standard shocks on my '96 400 which would be the best value for money without going silly?
Thanks in advance

Now if you had asked me yesterday I would have still been going on about them now, as I have just put Protech's on mine (yes it's a Cerby) but boy are they worth it, your best bet is to have with Joolz at Track-car-solutions I will be going tomorrow to pay for them. They are not mega money but great.

Oh, and did you get my email Richard.

Hi there,

are these height adjustable?

How do they compare to a set of nitrons?

Cheers.

If it's value for money you are looking for, Gaz are well worth considering, fully adjustable and handle SO much better than stock (I guess that depends on how shagged your existing shocks are). They are adjustable dampers and springs, I guess this is what you are looking for. Derek at Absolutley Shocks is a very knowleagable guy and very helpfull www.absolutelyshocks.com

By the way, I have no connection with them, just my personal experience ;-)

I use Gaz on my Griff and they seem very good. My original shocks had only done 16,000 but even so the Gaz shocks transformed the handling of the car and they do seem to be reasonably priced. Shortly after I changed them I had the geometry set up which also improved things.

Colin.

If you are local to TCS, it's a no-brainer IMHO, but don't rule out Nitrons wink or even the remote reservoir Protechs

If you must have GAZ, Steve Guglielmi Motorsports was highly praised by BB, Johno & Barreti, as well as Gasman always pointing out that they did the development for his setups.

I had Gaz fitted when my original shocks gave out. Performance seems ok, but they squeek over speed bumps! Very irritating.

I got the squeaks from my Gaz Golds which is as you say ,quite irritating , but have to say they transformed the handling of my 4.0 .

Seems to be that the most cost effective are Gaz (if you can put up with squeaks) Hmm there are loads on my estate.

Squeaks are now cured and were the exception rather than the rule considering we have now sold nearly 1000 kits, anybody having problems please give me a call on 01606 836369 and I will sort.

There may be a Winter deal upcomming biggrin but I have to let the dealers know first. Perhaps a call to me might pay dividends.
