Thinking about this....

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1994-TVR-CHIMAERA-GREEN-RARE...

The ad seems ok and seems to be by an enthusiast (modifications section) but it seems on the cheap side for what it is... is it??

Left hand drive - is it an import? I'd be steering clear of this one personally.

In answer to your post heading ...... another TVR!

Don't think the price is wildly out of line: £7k for a 13-year old car with 43k miles. They really are getting that cheap.

I'm less sure about the 350 BHP K&N air filter, or the claimed 35 mpg...

In truth the cars are practically identical under the covers. The main difference is the engine - 5L will be a lot more scary than 4L.

And the looks of course. Griffs are fugly. tongue out

Its not too expensive. I have one similar, and they are a good buy IMHO. The early cars like this one had pretty simple 'bits' so far less to go wrong. The 430 is a good strong engine.

The modifications are a little questionable, and amount to very little TBH. It has later manifolds with clamps rather than the original bolted flanges.

Realistically you could probably buy one off PH with more attractive mods for a similar price if you are prepared to wait. You will also have the benefit of being able to view / test etc..

Far too cheap bud, you should be looking to spend between £8k - £10k.

Lets face it, 99% of the time, you get what you pay for in this life!!
