I was working on my P reg, pre facelift model 4L Chim at the weekend (after the indicator fell out whilst washing), and the grill is looking a little old and tired. More so now after the 2 hours to take it out and replace it!

So, I think, along with the Leven Interior bits on their way, I will replace the grill. I am not that keen on the Leven grill, personally, so I was after any other recommendations or pictures of other grills, like the Zertec one (the web doesn't give a great picture).

I love the one on the front of Raceboys, but as he nor his dad is not setting up a business producing them I am after an altrernative!

Thanks
Mike

I just keep rubbing your nose in it don't I

If you venture into the Maxy Muppet/Halfords type stores they now sell sheets of mesh which could be cut to suit but would be a bugger to fit, but with a bit of thinking could be done, B&Q also sell sheets of pressed Alu sheet, and I've seen it in Gold which may not look as bad as it sounds if your got gold badges

Damn you raceboy, damn you.....

I am a dunce with my hands. I could not let myself loose on my Chim for something like that, I will have to buy a kit, If I do anything to the car, I will cry.

Can't see it very well here, I've now got the number plate mounted below the grill, but it's a Zertec jobby i think (last owner put it on)

I'm going to take the carbon fibre surround off though i think and just leave the mesh, looks better.

It's nothing to complicated, pop the old grill out and draw around it to give you a template, tranfer this to your mesh sheet then try and get your new grill back in the hole, I've found a bit of silicon grease and an old butter knife are the required tools for getting it back it

raceboy - Last week i tried to use a saw to cut out a new window sill. Once the window sill was fitted, I then had to fill in the gaps with filler. Believe me, I am that bad.

And I will not ask how or why you had a butter knife and grease to hand

Mike wait a few weeks and I should have the kit for you.
The grill mess is down to you but the surround will be a Stainless Steel one piece which will fit on and look just like the surround on the DB7 GT.

Email me and I will tell you more,
