not so, I have straight through pipes in my silencer, and before and after rr sessions showed no loss of bhp whatsoever.

You dont want any back pressure at all? each psi of back pressure is worth around 2-3 bhp, so if you have 5 psi you could be expected to lose around 10-15 bhp, back pressure is a restriction which ever way you want to look at it, once the gasses have left the chamber if the back pressure/exhuast restriction is holding this back it is putting more pressure on the piston to remove these gasses, so what your engine could be making at the flywheel is being restricted.

if its noisy now it will be about 7 to 10db louder when you have done it, my fully decated 500 griff was recorded at 120db.

Personally i dont like the sound of straight thro pipes but that is only personal prefence as you cant hear what the engine is doing ,pinkink etc.., i would definetly go and listen/have a drive in a car that is fully de-catted with no silencers, you can buy cherrybomb type silencers that have a valve them in them from the states, so while in cruise mode you can use the silencer and when you want it loud you shut the valve, may be worth looking into these.
