One more question, my housemates 4.0 wont start, iv removed the dizzy cap and the centre pin is worn out, where can i get a new one? will halfrauds do it? or do i need to go to TVR? or is there another car that the V8 rover engine i used in that i can transpose over?

Thankyou again!

Brett,
There are several places that dizzy caps are available.
However there are are some pretty sh@t one's around as well.
So make sure you get the genuine article with Lucas written on it.
You could try,
/www.racetechdirect.co.uk
www.clever-trevor.net
to name a few.
Hope this helps.
Cheers.

Bought a new lucas cap and distrub arm, the updated Lucas part numbers are DDB107 for the cap and DRB195C for the arm. Got them from a lucas dealer.

Definately get the Lucas items, ideally with Lucas stamped on them. I just changed the dizzy cap and rotor arm from a LSUK shop and the rotor arm was intermotor which mad the car like a rocking horse although it looked identical to the one I took off. Put the old one back on and all was OK so now got a Lucas one on which the metal part which contacts inside the dizzy cap is longer than the intermotor one which I took back.
