but maybe a blessing in disguise.clap
Solvent paints won’t be available next year.
So if you have a solvent colour, like I guess we all have.
Then come the new year, if you don’t have any in storage , you will be some what Fu**ed Trying to get some.
From what I have been told by all the paint experts solvents will very soon be made illegal to buy in the UK.cop
Call this a public notice if you will, shout but if I was you lot id be buying some repair paint now to have spare!.
My colour could not been matched without the correct RM solvent mix.

DONT PANIC !!! the EEC directive is to phase out solvent paints but you will have waterbased paints available to make the repairs with infact they are available now and most Chipsaway franchisee's have the new aquaclear system ... PS The enforcement has been relaxed so you do have at least another 6 months to be able to enjoy solvent based paint products..

It is true that most TVR and Non TVR colours are now available in water based paints.

I am told that some/a lot of the TVR colours were made by ICI and are available now or will be be in the new year.
If you have an obscure colour then it might be wise to get some advice as to future availability

I have just bought a 1/4 litre of solvent based paint for my Pathfinder Blue Chimaera for touch up purposes. If you contact www.auto-paint.co.uk
the guy is very helpful and will give you advice. I got the 1/4 litre for around £14 inc p & P Paint,Touch-up and aerosols are available from here,

Havent tried it yet though

I have been told that Paintshops registered as Restoration Companies are exempt from this rule and are allowed to continue using solvent based paints.
