for the first time in 3 years my baby wouldnt start last week during a trip in france.engined turned but no fuel, after about 15 minutes of fiddling about she fired up and drove back to england no problem until today when she refused to start again.after doing the usual checks i resorted to the hammer on the fuel pump and sure enough it primed and away we went.obviously im going to have to replace the pump does anyone know if its standard land rover or not?

I think he meant to clean up & tighten the electrical connectors to the pump before you splurge out on a new one wink

There are loads of electrical problems that can stop the pump running, I'd suggest you hotwire it to rule these out before replacing it. It's worth keeping the wire for this in the car as a get-you-home measure in case you get any electrical problems in future.
