Hi all,

I've been meaning to change my dash bulbs to superbright white led versions for about a year now after seeing the post on the cerb forum (search led in cerb to see it). I think I can finally be arsed to change them over xmas but I have forgotten which types of bulbs I need to get from ultraleds.co.uk. I have had the dash off about 6 months ago and seem to remember me needing 4 BA9 9mm bayonet 6 wide angle types and 4 wedge types. IIRC that was 2 ba9 for the rev counter, and 2 for the speedo (it normally has only one but there is space for a second to balance the brightness) then 4 wedge for the other 4 dials but i'm not 100% sure that this was right so does anyone know what combination I would need?

Also after having a quick look on the website, i'm pretty sure the bayonet ones I need are item no. UBA96WW but I can't find which wedge ones I would need... any suggestions anyone who has tried this?

Thanks in advance

Nick

I did mine many years ago, also did some others. I made my own fittings using rubber bungs with the LED inserted. If you want some LEDs, let me know,i throw away around 800 a month.

Rubber bungs ey? How does that work, just trim the rubber to fit snug in the hole? Where would you get the bungs from and what size resistors did you use?

I can give you the bungs also, they are from the back of car radios, perfect fit.(see profile). I used 10k on each.

David,

Do you have any pics of this you can enlighten us all with?

Is one of the many things I'm thinking of doing at some point.
