Have finally found some nice 17" wheels. They are 17 x 7 et 35.

Will they be a straight fit or am i going to need spacers at all

Also can i get away with 215/40/17 front and 225/45/17 rear

If you must upgrade wheels, 7.5 & 8J wheels are a minimum IMHO. As are 225 & 245 width rubber as a rule of thumb.

But we all have different ideas I suppose
