Anyone painted their little rubber bit?
Discussion
The one on the back "bumper" if you can call it that. Our intention was to get it blown in body colour when the car recieves some paint work, but I always thought it was plastic and found out today that it's soft rubber!
Obviously normal paint will be no good for it, but is there a way that is? I know the later cars are painted, but the moulding looks smaller in width and I'm guessing it's a firm plastic type?
Cheers

Might do, struggling to find a suitable car. If you look on the griff SE thread you will see that I'm a chancer blah, blah, blah who will never get one because I won't offer the money people think the cars worth etc etc.You would think I'd never had a TVR, let alone a half decent one Are you going to sell me those rocker cover badges or what....???
Some of the prices for quite frankly dodgy cars are laughable. No not yours mack

Maybe they should read up on some of your threads and see how commited you were to the chim...maybe you dont have a big enough medallion or chestwig....?
Buy another chim....you know you want to!!!
plastic primer worked, but the paint isn't flexible enough for teh squidging in my experience. Mine is painted - but I know if I tap anything the paint will crack..
An old boy convinced me to use celly lacquer to stop chipping on the wing mirrors, apparantly its softer and more flexible than 2k. That does seem to work - but the tint of the lacquer doesn't match.. Spare pair of painted mirrors coming on
