Black Chimaera

This may sound a bit geeky, but I have my Crimson Starmist Chimaera as a screensaver on my work computer. When you go to turn the computer off, if you don't close down immediately the colour gradually fades to black and white.
The point is I think the Chimaera looks good like this in black. Has anyone seen a black one in real life and if so what was their view on it.

Whilst talking about colours I saw the thread the other day about paints and also saw the mention about new paints available to chipsaway. A year or so back I was told that Chipsaway could not do "Crimson Starmist" does anyone know if they can now?

I saw a Griff in a black with gold flecks. Looked amazing.

I've never seen a black Chimaera though.

I nearly bought a black Chim in a metalic finish - it looked great - but black needs to be kept clean and free of dust (but then again a Chim deserves no less!)

I have seen a black Chimaera and personally I didn't like it. I think because there was a lack of contrast with the hood. I am a fan of black cars and of Chimaera's but for me it just didn't look right.

stick with your starmist as it contrast with the black roof, I have seen the black one and it doesnt look anything, all personal I guess

I have a black one, biscuit interior. Love the colour, looks great when its polished and waxed! Can look a bit grubby when its dusty/dirty though. I like them in any colour to be honest.

Agreed. I've seen 2 - neither were metallic - and both I and the wife agreed they both looked awful in Matt Black. The cars 'lines' were not prominent at all and the whole thing looked drab and undefined - gone were the sweeping curves and contours we all love so much and which the Griff sadly lacks .

I don't know what a 'Metallic' Black (like the pic above) would look like in reality but it would probably be a hundred times better. No insult intended to those with a Matt Black Chim BTW and all IMHO.

I've seen one in a very dark blue colour which was almost balck and with gold badges on it it looked very good, really liked it !! (probably a bugger to keep glean though.)

Yeah! Its a slingshot, h plate, but by god does it fly! Only ride in the 2 weeks of summer we have!

I had a metallic black one about 5 yrs ago with black full leather interior, looked fabulous. Only sold it to buy a Ferrari, looking back wished I had kept it now as it was in fabulous condition.

I have a black Chimaera with black leather, might be a bit bias but i think the best colour available as you don't see many about.
