I'm planning on buying the SP12 wheels and have done a search to find out what the ride is like. Has anyone fitted them?
My concern is that the ride is going to be quite hard. I have adjustable Avos on th rear but standard non adjustable Bilsteins on the front. Will the non adjustable shocks be a problem.
Also I recall hearing the hubs need shortening to fit the centre caps, is this a DIY job?
Cheers!

The wheels will not adversely affect the ride, and handling will feel much more direct. The rear axles just need a smidge cutting off (ie flush with the outer face of the lock nut), which is easily do-able with a decent hack saw and file (a grinder might not be the best idea as you might build too much heat). The inside of the rear caps then have to be notched to match the nut 'corners'.
As a fiishing touch, this little fella fits nicely

TBH, the SP12 conversion is one of the best mods I've done in terms of the difference it's made both to looks and function (despite those who swear the tyre profile is 'too low'). Suspect most will not have tried one...
