I've transfered my own plate on to the new chim, and that goes over on Wednesday, so i have just tonight made a new set of plates, what i want to know is, are the plates sealed with mastic to the car?
looking at mine, it does seem to be but im unsure if this is supposed to be or not ?

Where did u get the translusent backing out of interest? We've just started making plates at work and i've been told this backing is now illegal - much to my dismay as i need new ones for my chim
There are some still around apparantly if you can get your hands on them so i'm definately after a few if you know of any?

Try Irish suppliers, as the laws there differ
I've used Fancy Plates for transparent, rear lit plates, very helpful and no probs.
There isn't anyone in the Rep. of Ireland that I know of doing them - Irish plates are quite different although Fancy Plates will do Irish Plates as well.

I understood it was a 3M product.

or i can do them for £under £30 lol

Do you or the company you work for have a website I can order off please Martin?
Cheers,
Lee.
you can if you wish though, drop me aan e mail via my rofile, and ill be happy to help you as much as i can. plates are sent out same day where ossible, next day at latest
Thanks for that.
I'm just working out my finances to see if they will stretch to a private plate aswell.
The current plate is a bit knackered around the edges and new one would freshen it up no end.
Do you know where I could get a front plate made up that is slightly smaller than the original? My intention is not to get in trouble from the boys in blue but more increase the size of the chimps mouth slightly to get more airflow around the engine.
Cheers,
Lee.
