my thinking was due to them being slighly rarer they would hold their value better? regarding normal 400 it seems its a buyers market and prices are steadily dropping.equally i realise in the real world they may not be any quicker but the one i drove over a normal 400 seemed a decent improvement.

Oh they are quicker, providing the car is a good one,as said many times before if you get a average 400HC and a good 400,then dont be suprised if the 400 kicks the HC(they are quicker but not by loads),s butt, the HC is a notably freer reving motor but its traffic manners are worse,i would say seat of my pants maybe 15HP benefit for the HC,everything happens furthur up the tacho.Edited by That Daddy on Monday 10th December 20:41
Funny the 4.0HC engine sounded like a race engine compared to my mint low mileage 500, the 500 was much quicker though. I could only afford a 4.0 when looking ( ok a 4.3 as well but wanted T5 box and serp motor), i really wanted a H.C because of all the things previously said , so on the whole i think they are more desirable , but condition is the overall winner .
