Try A-Plan or Classic Line.

If the Chim is a second car, try Mannings or Hagerty. Also see the TVRCC website for member discounts. If its your second car, try Direct Line. They were £400 cheaper than the nearest competitor for me.

Got to agree with the above; I've just re-insured with these guys. £410 for the 5.4 which was £60 cheaper than the nearest competitor for similarly comprehensive cover. Ask for Darren.

Someone posted on here recently to say that Privilege gave them a better deal than their current provider, and I recently got a quote from them that knocked £200 of what I'm paying to Direct Line (which is part of the same group). So I'm going to do a few comparisons over the weekend and change over.

If you buy through Quidco you can get cashback as well.

Hagerty all the way. massively cheaper than anyone else, no worries about the minor mods (Rose Joint ARB, uprated shocks and brakes) and really nice people to talk to.

but hagerty require you to have a second car. so for a lot of people that's not an option

What he said. Half the price of anyone else and the comment on the (many and various) mods to my '450? "They sound sensible."

They do require the TVR to be a second car and garaged, tho'. And track days are extra - 10% of the base premium, plus IPT, per day. But they aren't picky about who organises the track day, unlike some others.

And they were very helpful when I screwed up the start date of my cover. New cover note, no charge and only laughed at me a little bit.

Altogether a very refreshing change from just about every other insurer I've ever dealt with. With the exception of the NFU, who insure my Discovery, and also appear to be Good People.

Hagerty do require a second car, but not a garage. Being without a garage means my premiums are higher but still way cheaper than anyone else
