Blimey - Mind Christ these dealers must be making SH*Tloads just to stick a car on a forecourt and giving it a clean!

All good though.

To be fair to Fernhurst, their fully prepared cars are mint and they fix every little thing they find wrong with them. Chassis on the ones I looked at there were best I have seen.

They get some of the best cars I've seen for sale. Far Price for a mint car I say.

I wanted a best of breed 2 years ago and Fernhurst certainly have them. Went to look at the car and they had painted and wxoyled the chassis, replace the rear wind screen, moisturised the leather, various other mechanically odds and ends. The car has been faultless, but you pays your money and makes your choice.

Has to be a scam - despite comments re mark ups etc I am sure if the car was real the owner if that keen to sell would get bid a lot more even selling straight to a dealer...

Asking good money - I have been watching quite a few and frankly none seem to be selling at those prices

What are you looking for.

I take all dealers stuff with a pinch of salt - they don't do andything bar just buy good ones and wash them and take a huge premium!!!!!!!!!

If you have a really good one you should be able to make this clear to any buyer.

I have been looking to BUY actually but many sellers seem to have delusions of grandeur based on dealers inflated asking prices. I KNOW you buy Chims on condition but a detailed review of the classifieds shows that a nice 99 or 2000 450 or 500 with say 45,0000- 50,000 miles on the clock makes £12-£13k privately but there are many priced at £16k+ privately which sit there unsold. Now £16k is a fair price for a mint 1999 / 2000 450 or 500 with 30,000 miles from a dealer with a warranty, but not for a private sale with no comeback etc. Will just stay sitting here for the right one to come along, there have been a number of apparently nice ones sold for sensible money over the past 6 months

Cool - all you have to then is spend another 20+k (on a Good 99 500) to make it GO, Stop and go round Coners - Sweet!
