Ok I had a great time blasting around with the hood down at the weekend.

Clear crisp day , a little slippy, but great fun.

Now 2 little problems !

How on earth do you stop the hood when foldded down from gripping the seat belt and stopping it from retracting nice and tightly ?

I recently renewed the hoop seal on the folding part of the roof.
What a pig it is to put the roof back on ! The force required to compress the seal is worrying. It is nearly impossible to straighten the stays.

I hope the new seal will eventually comprees a little and take on a 'set'

Does anyone have any tips ?

when folding the screen down you can bend the screen back slightly so that it goes behind the back of the seat belt mount - easier to show than describe I suspect.

The ally stays can be adjusted at the roof end (and probably the other end too). I know this becase one of the bolts was loose when I originally bought the car. Best to drop the roof back and loosen the bolt very slightly so that you can move it just a fraction, as that's all it will need.

Hi Toby, and thanks.

Hows the 'tin top' going ?

I see you are thinking of making it noisier (missing the Chim noise?)
