Matching wooden dash problem

I have just had the smaller bit of the dash around the radio replaced ('cos someone broke in and damaged it when they nicked the radio).

Problem is that the new bit of wood is very light in colour and the rest of the wooden dash is quite dark.

I dont expect a perfect match but it looks awful now. Has anyone got a spare bit of radio dash they would sell? Or does anyone have any ideas of how I can solve this.

Ronseal wood stain? - then clear varnish it.
