I had a new fan belt fitted about 1000 miles ago, it is now squeaking. Does anyone know what I can do to get rid of the noise? Does it need tightening or dressing or...?

Check the tension, if that is OK then apply some belt dressing. Check that the pulley alignment is correct while you're there.
