I have a water leak beneath the radiator, which I think (hope) is the washer water tank. Does anyone know if its easy to get at, fix, replace - without major costs?
If I can get it to an inspection pit - would be easy to confirm the leak is rad or washer tank?

2 choices to get at the washer reservoir - remove radiator or remove grill - neither are obviously 5 minute jobs but refer to bible in time honoured fashion for best methods etc - grill easy to get off, pig to fiddle it back on - out with the fairly liquid and plenty of patience.

Before you get that far though - do you realise that the washer res body invariably does not seal properly with the filler neck so when you fill it right up the first you know about it is water all over the floor?? - not sure if it's by design or a weakness but plenty do it apparantly and it's easy to assume it's got a leak the first time it happens.

Ascertain this first if you can before spending your weekend taking it all to bits!!

A very unscientific way to check what the water is:

If you are are sure it's water.

Just dip your finger in it and taste it. yuck
You will know immediately if it contains anti-freeze vomit
or if it is just washer fluid. (assuming you don't put anti-freeze in the washers). smile
