Price from coverdale now £305!
I fear because so many of us have used them in the past, they think they can just carry on putting their prices up and we'll still buy from them.

I'm currently looking for someone else to supply. I'm thinking you should be able to pick up a complete set to fit yourself for about £200 - £250 max.

I'll keep the forum updated should I find anything.

Just been quoted £294 plus P&P £7.50 for Latex back from Coverdale and £375 for wool. It does include the doors I was assured.

Anyone know if they do part sets? I only need the "parcelshelf" area and surrounds. Fronts look ok and I was thinking of going Alcantara on the doors.

Just got quoted 305 from coverdale today. EXCLUDES door panels. Am sure they would supply any part of the set.

Got that quote from A&R Pound as well. Cant see how 6sqm of different carpet can make 150 quid difference! I was recommended the man made fibre carpet which is more forgiving to damp than wool. Thought my wool carpets were ok till the other week. Ripped them out and they were knackered.

Am changing the interior colour anyway. Plus moulding carbon fibre lower dash and centre console. keeping the side bolsters as original. Also making carbon fibre door panels. Trying to work out what colour carpet to put with grey exterior, magnolia leather and black carbon fibre...

How are the carpets actually fitted? Tape? Glue?

I have just picked up my new carpets today from AJ'S Trimming in Bourne End (3 minutes drive from me).
Two new mats in burgundy and magnolia for £95.

My old ones which are in great condition will be over the top.
If you want me to post pictures let me know.

Dont think these prices are hiked due to it being a TVR. The carpet set is quite complex compared with other 2 seaters. Lots of pieces and lots of piping.

Best glue to use is a good short-term repositionable impact adhesive spray.

ETA: That is 2 mats, one driver and one passenger side.

Thank you very much for all the information. I just talked to a carpet layer shop in my hometown. They have a huge selection of all kind of materials and the could do it for a very good price, but they do not use this "leatherette " (sorry for my poor english) material to go round all the outer edges. they do it on a machine and stitch round the edges about 1/2" wide with yarn (strong thread) in any colour you want. This also makes wonderful contrasts, but I am not sure if it will look too "homemade"? What do you think of this solution, it would certainly be much less expensive that coverdale.

It is called 'piping'. The edge not the material.

Coverdale will supply the floor and back shelf carpets only. I Think I was quoted £100.
AR Pound take off the existing carpets and use these as a template to make the new ones so should be a good fit.

There is a lot of work in replacing carpets in a chim and Ribol goes through the process with PICs on www.jsread.com/tvr. on Chimaera Pages

I Think it is worth the extra £150 for fitting rather than buy the Coverdale ones for £300 and fitting yourself

WOO5IE, you saying the 'full' carpet set sold by the above does not include the tunnel?

I'm about to get new carpet for mine, while coverdale have been exceptionally helpful, the £305 price tag is terrible, and im looking at all other avenues before i order from them.

somone must do a set cheaper than this, its beyond

Think this is a resonable price:

23 separate carpet pieces
18 of these have some degree of piping
3 of these have rubber heel treads

Carpet used must be around the 8 sqm mark @ from £8 psqm

They also have existing templates so no need to go there with templates and hence get your own carpets out without rips.

All-in-all i would not expect much cheaper else where. Plus they have a good rep from other people.

Q. Does the passenger side battery cover come supplied as a complete panel?
