Hi Y'all

Replacing Front Drivers Side Indicator Bulb - is it just a case of:

1. Getting the wheel off
2. Unscrewing the 3 screws in the front of the wheel arch and removing the round "door"
3. Groping about down inside for the Bulb Holder
4. Do you then unscrew the bulb holder from the lens or is it 'clipped' in place?
5. Pop in new bulb
6. Screw/Clip Bulb holder back into Lens
7. Screw up the panel and put wheel back on.

On the drivers side is it a pain to do - I've heard it can be? Not so on the nearside.

Should I use sealant on the 'door' before screwing it back up? If so which?

Any advice gratefully received.

Cant you reach the holder from the grill?

Just uncouple the wiring connector, then unscrew the jamjar top from the glued in lens, and it all comes out to replace the bulb as I recall.

Doh!

I went in via the "door" in the wheel arch - don't tell me I could have just reached around

hehe

Anyway - thanks for the reply - job done now.

I can get to mine from the grill but it is not for coming undone, is there any other tricks to changing the bulb

Having recently replaced both front headlight bulbs and then later the drivers side front indicator, I can say that the headlight bulbs are a bore but that the indicators are easy.

For the headlights I did the whole jack up, wheel off, open access panel, change bulbs and then reassemble palaver (sp?).

However, for the indicator a little fiddling through the front opening and I was able to find the connector in the wire to the front indicator. I pushed this through the 'dog bite' below the indicator and undid the clip. I then unscrewed the back of the indicator unit and pulled it out of the front opening, changed the bulb and reversed the process. 5 mins all up.
