Hi, does anyone have a Leven Chimaera car cover for sale before I go and buy a new one? I've read various treads on the covers and think I prefer the Leven one the most. I've looked in classified and eBay and can't see one there. I am in Surrey/Sussex. Thanks, e-mail aubreydawson@mac.com

Try the Pistonheads classifieds. They quite often appear there.

Fleabay Item number: 180206749201

Not Leven, but not Leven prices either!

edited to say............Full cover is available at about £80. May be less, I'll need to check if you are interested.
Thanks.

Hi, I did see that one, but think I prefer the Leven style that can be attached to the car via the boot and bonnet so it can't be removed. Thanks anyway!

I've seen that and it looks so flimsy as to be almost useless. I'm sure it's ok as a quick cover in showers or to protect against frost, but I'd not expect to find it where I left it after strong winds, whereas I'm sure the Leven one would still be there.

You get what you pay for.

I think I have an earlier version of that one, have been using it for 3 years+, it is just not as long as that one at the front.

I also have a Leven cover, which has never been taken out of its bag, so the lightweight one works pretty well IMHO.

I've never seen the on on ebay so I may be talking out of turn but I bought a lightweight one and fitted it as per the instructions and it was gone the next day after some winds. frown

ETA Perhaps you could sell your Leven cover to Aubrey then biggrin

Hi all, just a quick update, I did manage to get a Leven cover (Thanks Steve!) Very impressed with it, yes its expensive, but you get what you pay for. Very well made and sturdy, recommended!
