misfire woes

I went out for a good blast filled up with V Power a good blast home then a strong smell of the cats then as if it was running on only 4 cylinders, pulled over gave it few revs then it died started again then it seem to clear, I have had my stepper disconnected would that be anything to do with it any advice would be grateful,

Doubt the stepper has anything to do with it, but I wonder whether you may have flooded the carbon cannister or something like that, and dumped excess duel into the engine as a result.
