Does anyone have any ideas which door speakers will fit in a Chim please as the standard Pioneer speakers are knackered.

Standard speakers I have removed are 165mm diameter ibn total.

I purchased some 170mm diameter Pioneer speakers to replace and they fit BUT the covers that go over the speakers to make them look pretty are wider are than the speaker and takes the overall diameter to 180mm, which is too big and fouls the curvature of the vinal shaped contour to the front of the door.

Ideally I want to stick with Pioneer but would welcome any other suggestions of good quality speakers which will fit but won't cost me more than about £50.

Thanks,
Lee.

Still have the original pioneer speakers in the infinity box. I removed the pioneer from my 98 450 and replaced with Infinity 6012's plus Infinity rear speakers about four years ago now at the time the 6012 was due to be phased out and I understand these have been replaced with the Infinity Kappa series. Both the 6012 and Kapa do have directional tweeters, though the Kappa takes this much further with output levels.
