Alarm making noise for ~2 secs when unlocking the car

Hi,

The battery went flat due to a fuse problem in my charger (grrrr...).. Anyways, now got the charge back in the battery and car is working. Have followed the instructions how to fix the central locking and alarm by detaching neg. on battery and once re-connected press key fob.

Now to the problem.... Every time I unlock the car the car alarm goes off for about 2 seconds.
Any idea what I need to do to sort this out?
