Recently fitted a new door rubber seal (the whole thing from one side to the other got it from Clever trevor and it looks identical to the old one).
Now I have water in the drivers footwell, the floor carpet and the carpet at the side are wet. Checked the usual things but found an old post with this reply from Spend.

"Also check the door seal is sealed where it is inverted under the front of the door and that the 'nip/tuck' are present in the bottom of the seal to allow running water to drain away."

Dave
Dave, this sounds interesting, could you please explain what you mean here as this may be the answer,
Cheers,
Keith

Regarding the nip-tuck, there should be two flattened areas of the horizontal part of the seal near where it goes from vertical to horizontal. Basically you push the seal IN and then pull it down, either glue or cut at this point.

Water seems to track down the seal and will preferentially end up in your car without these drainage bits.

At the front of the door if you follow the seal upwards, it then turns back, and is upside down at this point (just by the dash). If this is not sealed water will run inside where the seal clips onto the fibreglass edge. Just ensure this 8" or so length is fitted with sealant to prevent water getting 'under' the seal.

Its easier when you see it wink

That certainly raises several questions about your other halfs hygiene?

I used to have this problem and found that despite repeated re-masticking water insisted on coming in around my brake fluid reservoir. Covered the whole thing with four strips of duct tape (easily removed if need be, otherwise durable if not pretty) and no more leaks. Always worth checking all the holes in the offside wing under the bonnet and occasionally getting liberal with the sealant...

Have also heard of leaks around the base of the windscreen, though have no personal experience of those...
