Gear stick Gaitier

Does anyone know which way the stitching faces on the Gearstick gaiter on a 95 Chim.
Does it face the front or rear of the car.I had mine out and it doesnt seem to go back properly, its always moving and twisting around and has to be adjusted after/during every journey.

Just checked my 98 and its a 4 piece so sorry can't advise.

Had a similar problem on my "S" although i know its not the same car.I removed the console to access the radio and no matter which way i put the gaitor back on it kept working its way loose so i put 4 bits of velcro on (1 on each corner) problem solved

JUST LOOKED AT MY 1995 CHIMP THE STITCHIN IS TOWARDS THE HANDBRAKE

Assuming it's very similar to a Griffith gearstick gaiter, it should be held in place with a thickish wire loop running round under the tunnel - maybe yours has moved/fallen out?
