Having just done the wishbones on my Chim I noticed that the nearside lamda wiring 2 inches before the plastic connector has perished. The wiring run is tie wrapped to the top rail and runs close the manifold and must suffer. The two wires inside i think a red and white seem ok but the material surrounding is open for about 1 inch..maybe had been rubbing on the shock mounts?
Can any one suggest a decent wrap round to protect without putting an additional conector in etc..

Thanks

As long as the original insulation is de-greased, a bit of electrical insulation tape should do the job fine I would have thought?

You could use Self Amalgamating Tape, it bonds to itself over time, so it wont come unwrapped or let in the moisture. Maplin do it, or you may find it in a local motor shop as radiator hose repair tape (This comes with a roll of cloth tape as well). Costs about £4.50.
