Washed the car today and noticed some pretty nasty scratching and in some places gouging on the paintwork near the bottom of the passengers side door in a small clustered area.

After a couple of minutes of cursing and thinking how its got so bad in such an area, I realise it's from the lock that's been holding down my £300+ Covercraft car cover over the winter. furious

Things like this, are so f***** irritating, especially seeing as I was out fiddling with the car trying to find the leak that has lead to the drivers side carpets getting soaked.

So fed up.

Might sound daft, but did you have the cover on the right way (i.e. not inside out)? My Covercraft cover had specific protective pieces sewn into the inside to cover the plastic doobrys that attach the straps.

Yeah, i did. It's got the protective panels too, they just clearly don't work.
