Dear All

I am now delighted to announce the confirmation of the "Roar 08" Chimaera Festival which will be held on the 28th and 29th of June 2008.

The venue is the Moorside Grange Hotel & Spa in Stockport,Cheshire. Very shortly we will post full details on accommodation and facilities with preferred rates for your accommodation.

The event has been expanded to be run over a two-day period and there will be a number of things going on over the two days that will hopefully ensure it is successful. I hope to post a full and detailed profile in the March edition of the Sprint magazine as well as keeping you up to speed via the Pistonhead forum.

In short however we will be running events on the Saturday and the Sunday and I hope to recruit as may exhibitors to get involved as we can. So to all the companies reading this please get in touch if you wish to take part.

I am also running a treasure hunt on the Saturday as well as a major convoy on the Sunday. As part of our Saturday evening events we will be having a barn dance.

In addition to this the hotel has a spa and health club to make the whole occasion even more enjoyable.

To all more detail to follow shortly

Regards Goose

This needs posting on the TVRCC Chim forum too. There's a lot of Chim owners who don't do PH.

Mick Chimaerathon was a sort of a red herring.

However we have just gone for Roar 08 not Chimaeroar just Roar O8 and Jamie has come up with a fantastic image which I am very sure most will like.

We will be offering polo shirts, T Shirt, cup and caps so that everyone can get into the spirit of the event.

I take it you've seen the Griff Growl logo?
No. Is it a morphing of a Griffith with an Owl then? wink
FlipFlopGriff said:
Glad to see you think of the Griff as an MX5 lookalike without pop-up headlights! hehe

Goose, maybe we should reserve the Chimaerathon 08 brand for an annual gumball-style pilgrimage to the Alps in summer?? Let the ROAR begin...

Certainly not - didn't you hear about the virgin who married the Griff owner?

She wanted to experiment one day and fancied doing it in 'the other point of entry' for a change. The Griff owner was a bit shocked at this and said:

"No........ you might end up pregnant!"
