Another three way involving lots of rubber again! But enough of what I get up to at the weekend, the actual point of this was to get your viewpoint on the question of which shoes to put on a Chimp? In the blue corner we have Toyo Proxes T1s, in the red corner it's Bridgestone Potenza S-02 PPs and in the other corner it's B.P. S-03s. What do you all think? Who will be the champion in the 'rubber ring rumble'? PHers... it's over to you!

Don't take my word for it but the knowledge I've distilled from PH is below. Someone else will post a different opinion pretty soon

From what I see elsewhere on PH (try some searches on tyres), the S-02s are rare as rocking horse poo, so that puts them in third place.

The Toyos have a soft sidewall so are good for 17" and 18" wheels like the Tuscan/Tamora/T350C. These are a little too soft for the Chim running on 15" rims. Plus they have only just started doing the Proxes in 225/50 ZR15 (fronts) so again availability might be a prob. I don't know, I haven't checked.

So the winner by default are the S-03s. I don't really mean by default, a lot of people swear by them. New S-03 fronts going on mine on Saturday. As an added bonus, apparently people are setting PB's on S-03s when sprinting their TVR. Not something I'm going to be trying anytime soon.

Sandals, nice and open ones. You'll find socks and closed shoes really make their feet smell, I suspect however it would prefer it bare foot.

These usually go bare-footed:

However, Chimaeras - or Chims I hear prefer Bridgstone S02 or S03.

I have SO2 PP's all round, and seem very good to me ..once they are worn out I will venture on to the S03.

Cheers
