Anyone got any MOT exhaust gas results from a 3.9 running a Stealth cam ? Just want to know how close it is to the limits or no problems.

Thanks

Should not make a great deal of difference, mine is fitted with the HC cam(being an HC is well cammy on idle)and i dont think thats as well developed as your Stealth, and my car p*sses thru the Cat test,0.12 on the Co as i remember and the Hc was laughable so you will be fine,in fact my car runs cleaner than a lot of the Range rovers/Land rovers with the RV8 that the station often see and thats with tree stump pulling stock cams fittedwink

I think the exhaust / cat arrangement is the question?

I collegue of mine with a G33 (with cats) from sweden is worried if he fits one to his 3.9 it will fail thier MOT laws, which of course carries the death sentance over there. Their actual tests are much the same standard as ours, so I was just looking for some examples. I know its not an exact science, but some ball park figures would be good.

This is his limits: Carbon monoxide) 0,5 % at idle at 2500 rpm 0,3 %

The H C (Hydrocarbons) 100 and the Lambda 0,97 – 1,03.

I dont have any problems with my piper 270, but my cars pre cat so the limits are much higher.

Thanks

Mark
