My Chimp (4.0l N reg) clicked over 111,111 miles on the way back from Wales this evening. Is this a record?

BTW: It's still running as sweet as a nut and feels fit to do it all again....

Mines on about 84,000, and I plan to have it well into it's 100,000's. At the rate I'm doing miles at the moment (15,000 in 7 months!) that'll be this time next year!!!

Well done mate, but look out, i'm coming up fast behind you!!

Nothing weird - its a big fat lazy V8, should do a couple of hundred thou easy before a rebuild needed unless after the absolute last bit of power. They only make about 55 bhp per/ltr for a 5.0 which is crap but good for a long life. Screamers like VTEC are the ones that won't last.

My 1L Grass Track Mini pushes out more than that. Well.. If the V8 goes I'll just bolt 4 mini engines together That will be 222bhp.. More I think than my Chim is pushing out at present.

Keep it up DB, these cars are no fun stuck in a garage. But you'll have to do about 30k to catch me up next year becaue I'm putting on the miles at about the same rate as you

My BMW 730's up to 153,000. It's not worth much but for another £10K I could buy a car that doesn't do anything much better... so I guess I'm stuck with it! I can think of worse ways to travel.

Our RO's Chimaera's done more than that - great isn't it? We should post this thread on the Tuscan and Tamora forums!
