I don't agree with it then Al, the heaters work fine if all is OK.
OP, not even all the Chim ones are the same, same goes for the Griff I believe. A/C will be different again I believe..
I also assume you are referring to the blower box, rather than the 'diverter' box which houses the flap & matrix.
Common faults are bad sealing of ducts between the matrix and the vents and lack of flow thru the matrix.
When in tip/top condition it is normally the complaint that the car is too hot.
